'Would I Be Welcomed There?' ~ 'Rahu the Ogre'🌕✨🥺

'Rahu the ogre comes to a slow stop; knowing he will never be welcomed into any village with humans, they hate him and fear him, and would kill him if they could. He is the last of his kind; hunters from all the known villages hunted them all down and killed them, only he remained. Rahu takes his gaze from the village, and looks up at the moon; he stares at it in wonderment, wondering what it would be like way up in the sky. He imagines vast lands of white, he wonders if it's flat. 'I wonder what it would be like to live up there, would I survive on that world, and would I be welcomed there?' 'It has to be better than here, it would be better to die there, than to die here at the brutality of men, and have my eternal soul become a memory in the mythical world of children's fairy tales and bedtime stories'🥺🌕✨
Painting final - I was inspired by Frank Frazetta's 'Night Stalker' painting, the colours, the moon and the village vibe, and Rahu the Ogre was something I saw in a friend's self-made necklace🌕👀🤓
I plan to get a better photo of this painting, this one isn't super clear, and the colour is slightly different to what it looks like😒
