The concept I have drawn is from a French silent film 'Les Vampires' Episode II ~ 'The Ring That Kills' (1915) and the dancing Vampire-Cat Burglar is Marfa Koutiloff - The actress performing the dance is Stacia Napierkowska (1894 to 1945), a French actress, dancer, and director who worked during the silent film era. She was in 86 films from 1908 to 1926. This was originally a practice drawing on a scrap piece of paper (image 3), you can see the ink from a previous drawing that came through the paper. While I was drawing it, I could see a concept already there for me to draw. It just slapped me across the face, and I could hear that song in my head, 'Do you see what I see?'...ππ§ββοΈ In the second drawing is what I saw earlier with those ink marks, so I went with it. I saw an archway and stairs behind her, I could see the moon at the top of the archway with some clouds, and a building of sorts belowπ§π€¨ The title I chose for this drawing is from the Irish rock band 'Thin Lizzy', and their song 'Dancing in the Moonlight'π€³π from their 1977 album release 'Bad Reputation'πΈ. The song suited what I had come up with, I thought.ππππ
